We have had a close cooperation with the Yamamoto Quantum Fluctuation project at Stanford University on quantum optics in general and emission control in particular.
We cooperate with University of California, Santa Barbara on vertical cavity lasers and semiconductor cavity QED.
NTT Basic Research Laboratory in Atsugi, Kanagawa-ken has historically been an important partner.
We are the coordinator of the European IST project "Long Distance Photonic Quantum Communication" - QuComm.
We also coordinate the COST 268 Action: Wavelength Scale Photonic Components for Telecommunications.
We are a member of the European TMR Network Microlasers and Cavity QED, where we are a sub-contractor to France Telecom, CNET, Bagneux Laboratories.
We are also member of the European IST projects "Solid State Sources for Single Photons" - S4P and "Photonic Crystal Integrated Circuits" - PCIC, as well as the network of excellence "Quantum Information Processing & Communications" - QUIPROCONE.
The Department of Electronics has been a member of the EC ACTS project VERTICAL - Vertical Cavity Lasers for Interconnection and Access Links, which started in Sept. 95, and finished in Sept. 1998.
